As Icarus Peel crafted song after song during the early days of The Honey Pot, it soon became clear that not all of them were going to be suitable for the 'Potters'. The slightly more jazz-style chords, mystical lyrics and overall final production of the sound was markedly different. Icarus Peel had written and produced a CD album for Crystal Jacqueline called 'Heal Yourself' a few years earlier which was released independently on Psychedandy Records.

Then, in 2013, the pair recorded a few covers including one for Fruits De Mer, a version of 'The Troggs' 'Cousin Jane' and 'Fly A Kite' from Mary Poppins. These were included on their first album released on Mega Dodo records in October 2013.

Icarus, Crystal and Brian 'Comfy' Rushbrooke are the founder members of the band, and have been accompanied along the way by John Wyatt on keyboards and Neil Hutchings on bass. Now, the original three are joined by Honey Pot bandmates Andy Budge and Victoria Reyes.

They are happy to play an 'acoustic' set or perform with the full band, depending on the setting.
